Lessons with certified instructors on a shallow, sandy-bottomed lagoon.
Steady wind in the two main seasons, roughly December to March and June to September.
Beachfront stay, sunsets and evening beach bars.
Overview
Paje is one of the best places in East Africa to learn kitesurfing. The lagoon is flat and shallow, and the wind is reliable in season. Schools offer courses for all levels, and you can also try stand-up paddle or a dive.
We include a lesson package and accommodation, and you can add Stone Town or a spice farm. See Paje.

Frequently asked questions
When is the wind strongest?
Roughly December to March (the kaskazi) and June to September (the kusi). Wind is unpredictable, so we plan extra time in case of calm days.
When is the best time for the beach?
The drier months, roughly June to October and December to March, are the most popular. April and May bring heavy rains and lower prices.
Can we add a safari?
Yes. Safari and beach is our most popular combination. Ask us to add three to six days on the mainland before or after your beach stay.
